To answer your question regarding the inactive sites, we never remove any source because one of the core principles of the platform is to provide an archiving feature for websites that appear. If you want to filter the sources list by active sources only, you can sort the table by order of last post date.
I'm not sure why some site links are missing though, as we should be able to find the site URL in our database. I'll look at it with the team to fix the bug.
