Ungovernable Second anarchist article is now online.
We are aware that most anarchists and anti-capitalists are gasping for breath as they read things like freed markets or Bitcoin. But in our view, for no reason. Pierre Joseph Proudhon and Lysander Spooner, two of the founding fathers of anarchism, already wrote positively about anarchist markets. And the idea of Bitcoin (or other cryptocurrencies) as a progressive or anti-capitalist tool is not new either. For example, there is the Bitcoin Sozial project in Germany, or in English speaking countries the Progressive Bitcoiner podcast, Joshua Dávila's Blockchain Socialist project and his book Blockchain Radicals: How capitalism ruined crypto and how to fix it, Anita Posch and the Bitcoin for fairness project, a non-profit initiative focusing on Bitcoin as an emancipatory tool in emerging countries for particularly marginalized people, the anti-capitalist and anarchist Foss hobbyist and bitcoiner Ben Arc and C. Jason Maier and his work A Progressive's Case for Bitcoin: A Path Toward a More Just, Equitable, and Peaceful World.
From collectivist anarchism to individualist and egoist anarchism, from primitivist to solarpunk anarchism, from pacifist to insurrectionalist anarchism, from market anarchism and mutualism to platformism and more - the anarchist movement has produced many different schools of thought and ideas over the last two centuries and has thrived on exchange among, alongside, but also against each other. As different as the actions and the propagated model of society may be, they all share at least one desire: a society free from governments, hierarchy, capitalism, fascism and other forms of oppression. And we want to close the gap of market anarchism in German-speaking countries and be the antipole for the rising ancapism.
