After days of work, the mailing list is finally online for all of the 7 sites of the platform. You can now subscribe to receive e-mails with a summary of the latest news posted on the website (daily summary or weekly or bi-weekly)

We made a lot of efforts to build our own in-house newsletter, so since we do NOT use any external it means that the subscribers' list will always stay on our server. We wanted to ensure no capitalist multinationals have access to your personal information.

Please report any issues in this thread.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC must be configured and validated to increase deliverability, or else the mails will end up in the spam folder. We had this same issue on the forum, and as of today some members of Libertaire.net still have issues receiving notifications from the forum. I tried many times to fix it myself but didn't succeed. I opened a ticket with the support team but it's a lot of back and forth, still not fixed... Having our own mail server is a looooooooooot of trouble over and over again

A copy of the weekly newsletter is now published directly on the site with a summary of statistics: number of subscribers, number of articles posted this week, etc.

It seems like since the above change, the email newsletter is now going out to any email address tied to a forum account. I never signed up for it & don't want it. How can it be turned off?

in the footer of the email there is a link to unsubscribe

@Anarcho_Tech_Team We need to add an option on the register page and profile settings to choose to subscribe or not to this newsletter like on the other forums.

Can't find any option to do this in Flarum, I think we need to custom-code it.
