Glad you brought that up because we just had a complaint from somebody that turned into a shitshow because we have no way to deal with content removal. But with the new version, we now have a way to delete posts.
The problem is we also get a ton of complaints from nazis and other assholes who were named in the article we repost. I don't want to deal with this shit here. The solution I propose is very simple - let the original author decide. It means if we repost an article from Antifa NYC saying John Doe is a fucking nazi loser, and then we get a complaint from John Doe, we don't remove the article EXCEPT if Antifa NYC retracts its statement.
Another thing we learned with InfoLibertaire.net is that most of the requests come from comrades who need help to remove their name from the internet. A frequent case is when a blog writes an article naming protesters arrested at a protest. Then a few days later we get an email from the protester named in the article asking us to remove their personal name because it can harm the legal defense. We must always proceed those requests because we don't want to put comrades in trouble.
It's very important we understand where we stand as a DECENTRALIZED platform and trace the line between being an editor or being a diffusor. We don't want to become an editor because it destroys the decentralized principle. The editorial stuff must be done horizontally not vertically, we're just a decentralized federation.
